It took me 46 years, but I finally attended summer school. This summer, I studied up on the nuances of inflation-adjusted dollars, website design, employment practices, marketing and, frankly, stuff I can’t remember right now.
All this led up to what you see before you: Bridge Magazine, a project of the Center for Michigan to advance the Center’s work bringing ideas and solutions to the public issues of our day.

Poke around the site. In addition to the yeoman’s work done by Rick Haglund on Michigan’s regional economies, you’ll also find recent work from the Center’s e-newsletter, along with in-depth special reports on a variety of issues.
And the work keeps rolling next week (Sept. 13-15) with a provocative look at Michigan’s future job market. Among the findings: There will be many job openings in Michigan in the next few years, but Michigan is on pace to have more college grads than high-prosperity jobs.
