Trained as an investigative reporter, John Bebow launched Bridge and the Center for Michigan and grew it into a juggernaut.

Bridge grew up under the reins of a metro Detroit native known for his meticulous editing, investigative chops, fairness and self-deprecating humor.

Bridge Michigan publisher and founding chief executive officer, John Bebow, is retiring at year’s end. He will serve as an adviser to Bridge and the Center for Michigan for two years. This is his account of Bridge’s rapid growth.

Internship lasts eight weeks for those interested in pursuing journalism. Mix of assignments makes it a great opportunity for experience. Pay is $5,000.
