Bridge Culture Club returns from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 22 to discuss “The Invisible Mammal,” a documentary about scientists working to save bats from a fungal disease in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

The event will feature filmmaker Kristin Tièche, who will answer questions about the film and offer insight into her discoveries. Among other things, the documentary lifts up bats’ importance to the ecosystem and how they may be key to the spread of infectious illnesses.

The film features a team of female scientists who seek to save bats from a disease known as white-nose syndrome and seeks to dispel myths about the creatures.

Please bring your lunch and join Bridge Culture Club on Zoom to discuss the film.

You’ll have an opportunity to submit questions for Tièche during the event, which will be moderated by Bridge Michigan fund development specialist Jackie Garrett.

To receive an invitation and link to this virtual discussion, please complete the event registration form on Eventbrite.
