Since Bridge launched in 2011, we’ve made it our mission to produce high-quality journalism that informs and strengthens our state. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit news organization, public service is our goal.
We are in the midst of our spring membership campaign, and I’m hoping you’ll help us. Memberships are one of the key ways we raise funds to support the fact-driven, award-winning work our reporters produce.
Here are just a few examples of reporting that our members helped fund:
We have launched a new beat: Michigan Health Watch and Mental Health Watch, which will deliver essential information about public health and public policy impacting the consumer, practitioners, and industry of health care in Michigan.
We continue to provide in-depth coverage on the most important topics facing our state, including drinking water, marijuana legalization, the latest news from the Capitol, PFAS chemicals, the affordability of child care, Michigan’s roads, paid sick leave, and more.
We broke the story about the proposed changes to Michigan’s K-12 social studies standards, and have followed the years-long attempt by the state to craft nonpartisan history and civics standards for public schools.
This is critical work—the kind that makes Michigan a better place—and we can’t do it alone.
