- On Feb. 12, Bridge Michigan hosts our latest Culture Club event, discussing the documentary ‘Rouge’
- Filmmakers Hamoody Jaafar and Razi Jafri will join us for the discussion
- Participation in the event is free but requires registration
Bridge Culture Club returns from 12-1 p.m. Feb. 12 to discuss "Rouge," a powerful documentary by filmmakers Hamoody Jaafar and Razi Jafri that chronicles basketball excellence and social change in metro Detroit.
"Rouge" tells the story of the River Rouge High School Panthers basketball team, weaving together past and present. The film follows coach LaMonta Stone, who returned to his alma mater as the team pursued its 15th state championship.
The documentary tells the story of the industrial city just outside Detroit and its school athletics program, which has continued to defy odds and raise the bar on and off the court.
Please bring your lunch and join Bridge Culture Club to discuss the documentary on Zoom.
