A Michigan winter is no time to snooze, with so much to do in the great snowy outdoors.

That was the message of a panel of readers and experts who spoke to Bridge Michigan Outdoors Life reporter Laura Herberg for the latest in our Lunch Break virtual discussion series.

With the help of reader suggestions, Herberg compiled the Winter Dreaming Michigan Bucket List, 12 Michigan must-do’s in the colder months. From climbing ice to watching an ice fishing competition, Herberg’s list would take you all across the state for fun in the cold.

During today’s Lunch Break, Herberg unveiled the list and talked about winter fun with Sam Bailey, a Bridge reader from Harbor Springs, Linda Hoath, executive director of the Sault Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Nick Wierzba, co-owner of Grand Traverse Bike Tours, Bill Thompson, longtime Michigan Ice Fest organizer, and Tasha Stielstra, co-owner of Nature’s Kennel Sled Dog Adventures.
