Republican Tom Leonard, the current speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives, has said he wants to focus on mental health reforms and prosecuting
elder abuse crimes.
Democrat Dana Nessel, well-known for her role in the case that ultimately would overturn Michigan’s same-sex marriage ban, is a former prosecutor who said she will fight for clean water and consumer protections as Attorney General.
