- The Feb. 25 virtual discussion will cover what readers are telling us are the most pressing issues facing our state
- The Lunch Break will be moderated by Deputy Politics Editor Jonathan Oosting and feature reporters Jordyn Hermani and Lauren Gibbons
- Readers will be able to ask questions of the panelists during the discussion on Zoom
Bridge Michigan’s next monthly Lunch Break virtual conversation will focus on the issues that matter most to Michiganders, as shared with us by our readers through our Bridge Listens survey.
In January, we launched a yearlong listening effort to identify what Michiganders believe are the most important issues affecting our state. Since then, we’ve received over 2,000 responses focusing on everything from the economy to data centers to the cost of health care. We are using that feedback to help shape our reporting and to press candidates on those issues during this election year.
Against that backdrop, Bridge Michigan’s next Lunch Break virtual panel, moderated by Bridge’s Deputy Politics Editor Jonathan Oosting in conversation with politics reporters Lauren Gibbons and Jordyn Hermani, will explore what we’ve learned and what we can expect the candidates to be talking about as they vie for your vote in November.
We’ll also reveal the top 20 issues and launch a ballot asking you to help us rank them heading into the August primary. In October, we’ll bring those priorities to our Issues Summit focused on what readers have identified as Michigan’s most pressing concerns.
The Lunch Break is from noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 25. You can register here, and as always, readers will have the opportunity to ask questions during the live discussion.
