Kathy Kieliszewski
Kathy Kieliszewski is Bridge Michigan's executive editor of innovation, focused on reaching new audiences through engagement, events and new ways of storytelling. She joined Bridge in fall 2024 after nearly 22 years at the Detroit Free Press, where she led photo and video efforts, won four national Emmy Awards and was part of the team that won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Journalism. Kathy also co-founded the Freep Film Festival and served as its artistic director for 11 years. She is a proud graduate of Michigan State University’s journalism school.
Based in metro Detroit, Kathy's dream vacation is a remote U.P. campsite, a serious game of Yahtzee and her husband and two sons.
