Republican Anthony Forlini and Democrat Garlin Gilchrist will debate this evening as they compete to be Michigan’s next Secretary of State.
The live event is set to start at 6:30 p.m., with Jordyn Hermani of Bridge Michigan as lead moderator and Zach Gorchow of Gongwer Michigan as co-moderator.

Forlini and Gilchrist are competing to replace term-limited Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, a Democrat now running for governor. Gilchrist currently serves as Michigan’s lieutenant governor, while Forlini is the Macomb County clerk.
