Bridge Culture Club returns from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 30 to discuss “Witchy Boots,” a documentary film about historical and modern women that shape the craft beer industry.

The event will feature Emmy Award-winning filmmaker J.S. Phillips, Jamie Kidwell-Brix, co-owner and head brewer at Earthen Ales and Tank Space in Traverse City, and Sandy Cockerham, president of the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP). They will answer questions and offer insights into the documentary.

The film follows the stories of medieval alewives accused of witchcraft and modern brewers staking their claim in the male-dominated craft beer industry. Overall, the film captures the movement toward inclusion, creativity, and sisterhood inside the brewhouse.

Please bring your lunch and join Bridge Culture Club on Zoom to discuss the film.
