• The Oct. 28 virtual discussion will cover the upcoming midterm elections
  • Panelists include Bridge Michigan’s Capitol team
  • Participants can ask questions of Bridge Michigan reporters during the discussion on Zoom

Bridge Michigan’s Issues Watch returns Oct. 28 for a virtual discussion of this year’s midterm elections, when voters will elect a new governor and US senator and decide control of the state Legislature.

Deputy editor Jonathan Oosting will moderate the discussion from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Capitol reporters Lauren Gibbons, Simon D. Schuster and Jordyn Hermani, who will highlight key races and ballot proposals.

All year, Bridge has hosted virtual discussions about election-year issues that readers prioritized through Bridge Listens, our yearlong listening effort. Other events have focused on the state of democracy,, the economy, the environment, healthcare and  K-12 schools.
